The bluespine unicornfish is grey-brown, with two bony spines at the base of its tail. In the adult a frontal horn develops. It feeds mainly on brown algae.
Did you know?
The « horn » of this unicornfish grows only with age: the young do not have one. In Tahitian it is called ume.
